Stirrup-Shaped Ear Bones

Next came another room that started with a stirrup-shaped stapes in the common ancestor of Epitheres. The stapes is a middle ear bone that transmits sound vibrations from the ear drum to the inner ear which lets you hear. When the large dinosaurs died, lots of early mammals had this kind of ear bone, like horses, porpoises, marmots, tigers, and hogs.
